Valsings Vocal Institute was founded in 2008 and is designed to help students enhance their singing careers and build confidence. Throughout the years Valsings Vocal Institute’s Founder and CEO  Valerie Boyd has worked with, helped coach, and train several well known Gospel artist including Judith Mcallister and Juanita Bynum. She has also worked with several artist from different genres, including Jazz, Reggae, R&B, Broadway, and Opera. 

 

Valsings Vocal classes are designed to help students discover singing style, Increase range, Perfect pitch, and strengthen their voices. We offer vocal lessons for beginners, intermediate, and advanced singers. Sessions are Private  or Group shared. Each class is orchestrated to give students a complete warmup before applying vocal techniques. 

 

Valerie Boyd herself is a Gospel recording artist, songwriter, and musician. An offspring of a family of singers, she began singing at her grandfather’s church at the age of three. By the age of sixteen she was awarded a scholarship for voice and piano at the world acclaimed Carnegie Hall. She went on to attend the nationally recognized high school of music and art and then studied music at Hofstra University. Thirteen years as a music teacher in the NY public school and several christian academies, She has been a judge for McDonalds Gospel Fest and the world famous Apollo, as well as traveled nationally and internationally with several music projects to her name.
